Red Bar Paneed Chicken with Lemon Caper Sauce: A Crispy and Tangy Delight

Panéed chicken is a delicious creation made by pounding or butterflying chicken breasts into thin fillets, coating them with seasoned breadcrumbs, and lightly pan-frying in a little oil until golden and crisp.

Just made this tonight. It contained all the ingredients I always have on hand. It was quick, easy and delicious. I already had chicken breast chunks that I marinated in pickle juice to make the kids knock-off Chik-filA so I used the rest of them for this. It was FABULOUS!!

Growing up in Boise, Idaho, McCree said he developed an early love of cooking with his grandfather, who would prep and grill mass quantities of dry-rubbed ribs and barbecue chicken for their church picnic on Juneteenth.

3. Lightly salt and pepper the chicken breast. Grill the chicken on a hot barbecue grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until done. Brush a generous coating of barbecue sauce over the chicken as it grills.

Whisk flour, pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon salt in a shallow bowl. Pour buttermilk into another shallow bowl. Working with 1 piece at a time, dredge chicken in flour mixture, shaking off excess. Dip in buttermilk, allowing excess to drip back into bowl. Dredge again in flour mixture, shaking off excess.


Fry chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 3 minutes per side. Transfer to a wire rack set inside a baking sheet; season with salt. Spread cut sides of rolls with butter. Heat another large skillet over medium heat. Working in batches, cook rolls buttered side down until browned and crisp, about 1 minute.

Gouda cheese gives the homemade pizza the most delicious smoky flavor and cilantro adds a touch of freshness. My pizza dough recipe makes enough for two 12-inch pizzas. Toppings listed are enough for one 12-inch pizza. Freeze the rest of the pizza dough for another time.


Hi Sally, I attempted making the homemade barbequed chicken pizza using your menu and followed instructions to the letter, while it seemed everything was going ok, at the end of the suggested 15 minutes, the edges did not brown well, so I let it remain in oven a few more minutes and edges browned alright, however to my utter disappointment upon removing the pizza from the oven, I found that the crust stuck to the pizza stone all around the diameter of the pizza. What can I do to avoid the crust sticking to the stone? I also saw that the bottom of the crust was not fully cooked.Otherwise would have a good pizza.Thank you Sally.


Wish I could go higher on the stars! This is fantastic! Only thing I did different was I made the BBQ chicken on the grill and used iceburg lettuce since that is what I had in the fridge and topped it all with just ranch dressing! Maybe next time instead of lettuce I will use a cole slaw mix!


We made this salad for dinner last week (2 nights in a row even!) and it was delicious!We used bbq chicken I had cooked in the slow cooker earlier and an avocado cilantro dressing instead of ranch. We also added avocado and some crispy bacon bits. We will definitely keep this one in the rotation this summer! Thanks for sharing it! ?


Thanks so much for posting this salad. I made this today for a bunch of girl friends and they were all raving about it. I grilled the chicken with a little homemade taco seasoning on it, but made the salad exactly as you posted otherwise. Sooo delicious! Having leftovers for dinner!


Add the chicken, bok choy and bean sprouts. Pour in the sauce. Toss continuously to cook evenly. Once everything becomes piping hot, throw in the green part of the scallions. Mix, then plate up to serve immediately. You may also have homemade chili oil on the side for those who fancy an extra kick.

If warm tortillas are your jam, then wrap them up in a damp paper towel (or a tortilla warmer) and heat them in in the microwave for 20-30 seconds. Then, take your tortilla and top it with your warmed chicken, veggies, and cheese. Remember, you want your tortilla to be able to turn into a wrap, so don't put too much filling in!

I tried the buffalo chicken tenders but instead of frying, I put them on the grill which saves calories and the oily smell in the kitchen. Five minutes on each side then coat them in the sauce then back on the grill to finish them off and dry the sauce. Came out great. Great personal story by the way.

TWe were visiting from Memphis. It was our first time to the Gulf Coast. A friend from home told us that we had to go to Red Fish Tacos. We were so glad we did. Highlights from our first visit were the fish tacos and the jerk chicken. Delicious! We ended up getting take out on our second visit.


Food was very tasty! Blackened Shrimp Taco Salad was amazing! We also tried shrimp queso (great flavor), chicken quesadilla, chicken tacos, beef tacos. Upgrade combo with rice, beans, and avocado salad to add to the flavors! Our group was very satisfied with last minute find! 2ff7e9595c
